Peer Review Policy & Standards

Peer Review Policy & Standards

The UnivColl International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (UIMRJ) maintains a rigorous academic standard. We strictly adhere to a Double-Blind Peer Review Process to ensure research validity, quality, and complete freedom from bias.

Ethical Compliance: We align our protocols with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Identity Concealment

To ensure impartiality, the identities of authors are hidden from reviewers, and reviewers are concealed from authors throughout the process.

Objective Evaluation

Manuscripts are judged solely on intellectual merit, methodological rigor, and ethical standards, strictly avoiding bias based on gender, origin, or affiliation.

The Review Workflow 5-Stage Process

01

Submission & Compliance Check

Day 0-2

Upon submission via the portal/email, the manuscript undergoes an Automated Technical Check:

  • Completeness: Author Metadata (ORCID, Affiliation) & English Title/Abstract.
  • Formatting: Strict adherence to UIMRJ Guidelines (APA Style).
02

Editorial Screening & Plagiarism

Day 3-7

The Chief Editor performs a "Desk Review" before assigning reviewers:

  • Scope Check: Alignment with multidisciplinary focus.
  • Plagiarism Verification: Scanned via Turnitin / iThenticate.
Strict Rule: Similarity must be < 10% (excluding references). Violations are Desk Rejected.
03

Reviewer Assignment

Week 2

Manuscripts passing desk review are assigned to two independent Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Editors ensure No Conflict of Interest exists between author and reviewers.
04

Rigorous Evaluation

Week 2-5

Reviewers assess the manuscript against a standardized COPE-aligned Scorecard:

🔹 Originality 🔹 Methodology 🔹 Ethical Standards 🔹 Clarity & Logic
05

Final Decision & Publication

Week 6

Based on reviewer consensus, the Chief Editor issues a decision:
